Galaxy Selvedge

The Galaxy Selvedge is a 13oz Japanese selvedge denim that blends cotton with rayon, using indigo rope-dyed warp yarns and a nep heavy weft to create a fabric with lively visual complexity. Nep, small clusters and knots of unmilled fiber, introduce organic irregularities into the weave, producing surface highlights and scattered texture that resemble star fields across the denim.

The addition of rayon in the weft softens the hand and enhances drape, giving Galaxy Selvedge a smoother, more fluid feel than a 100% cotton fabric of similar weight while maintaining depth and presence. When cuffed, the interaction between the nep accents and the interior weave becomes even more pronounced, revealing a more dramatic and playful texture on the inside.
